Understanding the Wire Transfer Process
As Interior Federal continues to find ways to improve our service to our nationwide membership, there is a new and upgraded wire transfer process to ensure your wire transfers are secure and processed smoothly, here’s everything you need to know about the update.
Wire Transfer Agreement
Before initiating a wire transfer, you will be required to complete a Wire Transfer Agreement. This one-time agreement authorizes your future wire transactions and enhances the security of your transfers. You will not be able to send a wire until your agreement form has been submitted and approved.
Please request the Wire Transfer Agreement by calling the Credit Union at 800-914-8619. Once the agreement is submitted and approved, you will be notified and granted access to send wires.
Please note, even after your Wire Transfer Agreement is approved, you must still complete a separate wire request form each time you send a wire.
How to Send a Wire Transfer:
- Make sure the Wire Transfer Agreement form is completed.
- Log in to Digital Banking.
- Go to ‘Transfer & Pay’
- Select ‘Send a Wire’ and follow the prompts.
New Additions
You can now save your wire request forms as templates. This means you won’t have to re-enter the same information each time. Just select your saved template, review, and submit.
Transfer Options
- Same-Day Transfers: If you need your transfer processed quickly, you can submit it before 3 PM EST for same-day processing. Wires submitted after this cutoff will be processed the following morning.
- Scheduled Transfers: Want to set up a transfer for a future date? You can easily schedule it through digital banking.
