Marquis Software Solutions Data Breach

Marquis Software Solutions, a digital and physical marketing, communications company, is a third-party vendor that we work closely with to perform everyday business. They work with hundreds of Credit Unions and community banks nationwide.

  • On August 14, 2025, Marquis Software Solutions identified suspicious activity on its network and later determined that it was the result of a cybersecurity incident. Upon learning of the incident, the vendor immediately launched an investigation, worked to understand the scope of the issue, and engaged cybersecurity experts to assist. The vendor also promptly notified law enforcement.
  • It was undetermined which credit unions were involved in the breach until the data was scrubbed by the cybersecurity firm.  It wasn’t until October 28th that our Credit Union was given the specific members that were impacted and what data elements were compromised for each person.
  • Unfortunately, our members’ personal information was accessed without authorization during the incident. Currently, there is no evidence of the misuse, or attempted misuse, of personal information as a result of this incident. Interior Federal’s network and internal systems were not impacted. The incident was limited to the vendor’s environment.
  • After receiving notification of our members’ compromised information, the Credit Union reviewed the files and folders accessed during the incident to confirm the specific information present. Notifications to individuals were made as quickly as possible thereafter.

Interior Federal and its vendor are committed to protecting the security and confidentiality of your information, and we deeply regret any inconvenience this may cause you. While we have no evidence that your information has been misused, we encourage you to remain vigilant by reviewing your account statements and credit reports for any unauthorized activity. We also encourage you to take advantage of the complimentary 24-month credit monitoring included in the letter mailed to you. You will need to follow the steps outlined in the letter to properly enroll in the program.
